I've tried this mission several times. It's the mission where there's an altar in the center and you need to attempt to hold the altar while capturing the portals. Only these things called Blastphemies come, and they're easy as hell...right up until you kill them and get spiked by three new energy monsters that spawn after he dies. I've been able to fight them off but as soon as I get to the last portal(which rarely happens by the way), my henchmen being AI and all, kill the Blastphemies over and over again as they exit the portal even though I specifically call another target. This thing is giving me a headache. What was your strategies for beating this quest/mission(since it's not labeled a mission on my map.)?

What I did was kill all the clerics and the big claw thingies first. Then go back and deal with the rest of the guys at the portals (running back to the center to deal with any pesky Blasphemies as necessary).

Well...I did pretty much what was described in the OP, my AI never attacked the Blasphemies unless I called them, and got Master's. I...really don't know what to tell you. Try again? Maybe it was a fluke.

Thanks, I got past it earlier this morning. I guess they were just flukes because I had absolutely no trouble with it this time around...

And I took the advice about the claw things too

Yea don't forget you can park your heroes to secure the spawn point portals...

In a team play this actually works better cause say you have a full team SOMEONE needs to being the required hero.. OK great... park it at the alter...
Set traps and spirits at the alter. and the rest of the team attacks 1 portal at a time. and body block the blasphemer as it emerges... Destroy portal one. 1 guards and move on...

Destroy two 1 player guards and rest moves on...

that leaves 5 to take out the final portal
IF and only if a blasphemer gets through the lines, the other two guarding players and the hero can body block them from getting into a portal spawn point...

Its only hard if people do not control the portals, or body block the blasphemer...

i had troubles to start, but i just gave my heros better weapon sets and re-skilled.

farming up to R2 lightbringer (300pts) outside dzagron to get lightbringers gaze make it much easier. almost 1 hit kill blasphemy, or the energy balls

if you hold middle long enough blasphemy has a chance to get stuck, which he did for me, then you can take your time and not have to worry about anything capping the main shrine
